The Interview - JACOB PRINCE
www.seekgratitude.meTell us what you enjoy most about writing [genre].
Memoirs are my favourite where you tend to be most honest. Stories flow out very much minimum effort. Fiction in comparison is of more imaginary and one has to struggle more in creating twists, turns climax etc...
To date, what is your favorite (or most difficult) chapter you have ever written?
It is about the romantic encounters I faced which I have written in very detail in my second book " ENCOUNTERS - Life's enduring journeys". It was great pleasure travelling along the most beautiful moments of my life
Have you ever experienced writer’s block? How did you deal with it?
I am still not a full fledged author because, I have to deal with my professional commitment as well in my engineering business. which is often my block in writing Yet I wish to adhere more to my passion which is writing.
What can we anticipate from you moving forward?
I started with my memoirs in two books which are already published through Amazon - "GRATITUDE - Embarking ona journey like no other " and ' ENCOUNTERS - Life's enduring journeys" and now is all set to complete my medical Sci-fy for which the work is in progress.
Do you have any movie or tv adaptations in the works?
No. Not yet.
Did you always want to be an author? If not, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Yes. From my tender ages I had a passion for writing. At home I associated with my younger brother who was good at drawings to make our daily news paper with news associated with our home. Within the family, we produced a handwritten daily newspaper, complete with our own brand name, imaginary advertisements, and news about home events. Our father was the President, and our mother was the Prime Minister.
Readers were plenty because ours was a large joint family, and everyone eagerly anticipated the daily newspaper each evening. Our elder brothers, Achenkunjachayan and Babuchayan, took the newspaper with pride to their workplaces, where their friends, who appreciated our creative efforts, were our first admirers outside the family.
At school we circulated our own hand written magazine which got a sudden popularity among peers. I shared my experiences of early writing efforts in both GRATITUDE and ENCOUNTERS .
Where do you like to write? In a coffee shop? In your home office? On the beach?
I wish to write in the solitary environment of my Home. My family supports me to get a good ambience with no disturbance while I am writing.
