If you had told me 20yrs ago that I would be a writer.

I would have laughed in your face!

My name is Peter James Kromer. (I go by James)

I grew up in a small town in the suburbs of Minneapolis Minnesota.

This is where winter, bullies, rejection and strict religion molded my mind.

If those things weren't enough, I grew up poor. So, I know all about going hungry at school, stretching the left overs and my all-time favorite of things poor, good ol powdered milk lol. With an older brother and 3 younger sisters. It was never a dull moment…

When I was 9, I had an encounter with the Divine. I dedicated my life to Love that Sunday morning. (If I would have known the pain and confusion, I would go through to gain Peace & Understanding… I would Not have done that lol. Funny not funny lol. (Well worth it)

The summer when I was 13, I grew from 4ft 6” to almost as tall as I am now 5ft 8”. That gained me something I hadn't had previously… Popularity… So, I ditched the church and when into the party scene. That was fun until at 17 my friends wanted to start doing the stuff, we heard in the rap music we listened to. I didn't want to go to jail or prison. Especially because I still wanted to end up in the ministry when I grew up. So, at 17 I cleaned up my act and went back to church. I went all in. Got sober and everything. I went on a mission's trip to Taipei Taiwan that rekindled my desire for ministry. So, at 18 I moved to Tampa Florida to go to Ministry school. To make a long story short. In a matter of 3 short years, I went from thoughts of full-time ministry to an angry and confused atheist. Due to fear and my mother's influence from the age 17 until 26 I studied mainly Christianity. At 26 I had my first major breakthrough. This came from watching a documentary on the Laws of Attraction.

Wow, did that start me on a deep dive path to figuring out this gnarly thing we call life! I went on every rabbit hole and some to find peace & understanding. To be honest the confusion and intensity of that, on top of now being rejected by virtually everyone including my family. Had me almost give up on life. It didn't help that I was already suicidal some of my life. I just never seemed to fit in. I was either too much or too little to be a part of anything… Currently I am 41 years young.; )

Love, Purpose and Community are my aspirations and intentions!

This book series is based on my struggles with religion, spirituality, addiction, loneliness and confusion. My main intentions for it, are to help people think for themselves and sort through the confusion & negativity…

Things I do when I'm not writing or thinking lol. Are jammin to music, (what would I do without it), going on adventures, exploring, hiking, walking, biking, cooking, yoga, meditation, breath work, working out, and showing love along the way! :) My all-time favorite thing to do is snowboarding, but haven't done it in years. Other things I want to do more of are dancing, Jiu Jitsu, water sports including boats and watercrafts, mountain biking, comedy shows, concerts, festivals and trying out all the gnarly inventions they have these days. They have a motor for everything, including snowboards for example. So many toys to explore! Lol.

FYI… I will be writing fictional series for quite some time! I have 3 other series to write already! Escaping The Draft will be at least 2 more books. Book 2 and a prequel. Next will be ‘I Will Find You’: About death and the afterlife. Then ‘DAngels’: A long kid's series about demons scouring the multiverse trying to be Angels! (So much Fun!) Then ‘Diaries Of Frea’: About “The beginning before the beginning” Our Creator as a child…
